Malachi has an older brother, Samuel Shepherd. Malachi is the grandson of Kathy Brase, and the great-grandson of Pete and Jo Curtis, of Leon Junction. Malachi also has an aunt, Staci Kinnear, and several cousins, Elli, Jenson, and Molli Kinnear, of Leon Junction.
A memorial service for Amelia Flores was held Monday at the Davidson Cemetery. She was raised on Sterlin and Mary Jane Barnard’s place in Leon Junction. Mound Cowboy Church had a meal for the family afterward.
Don and Sue Jones took Steve and Kay Branham out for lunch Sunday for their 50th wedding anniversary at a local restaurant. Also attending were Kelby and Sterlin Shults, Kristen Jones, Alice Fretwell, and Jerry and Vickie Shults.
Jerry and Brenda Helms met Neil and Christy Helms in Hillsboro for dinner Tuesday evening.
Valerie Ferrell and Carolyn Blakley had lunch in Gatesville on Tuesday and Friday.
Carolyn Blakley had dinner in Gatesville Thursday with Will and Becky Coward.
Delecia Reynolds was a lunch guest of Barbara Hopson last Tuesday.
Jeb Dixon and his daughter, Julia Kay Dixon, of Liberty Hill, visited Sunday afternoon in Gatesville and Mound with their relatives.
Donald Scott and Chase Stephens, of Pearland, spent the weekend with Ray and John Stephens.
Those who had birthdays this week were Jonathan, Penny, and Ray August.
