A memorial service was held Friday for Regina De Lord Blakley

Mrs. Regina (De Lord) Blakley died Sunday, April 14.  A memorial service was held on Friday in Gatesville at Eastwood Baptist Church. Regina was the daughter of Johnny Darrell and Ann Nell (Hampton) De Lord. Regina was a cousin of the Hampton and Hopson families. Regina will truly be missed.

Holly, Ruby, Truett, and Jacklyn Pullen, of Rockwall, visited during the weekend with their relatives in Gatesville and Mound.

Doris Hoff, of Gatesville, visited Thursday afternoon with Martha Lawhorn.

Pat Johnson, of Austin, Doug and Susan Quicksall, of Oglesby, Roy and Jan Johnson, of Gatesville, and Eric and Liz McCorkle met in McGregor Sunday for lunch at the Coffee Shop. The group celebrated Doug Quicksall’s birthday.

The Coryell County 4-H Ambassadors Thomas Belt, Kinsley, and Allie McPherson all assisted with Gatesville’s Earth Day for 5th graders on Friday. Thomas Belt competed in the District 8 4-H livestock judging contest on Saturday where he placed 8th high individual.

Case, Kristen, and Paxton Brack Jones, Kelby and Sterlin Shults, Don and Sue Jones had lunch Sunday in Gatesville.

Carolyn Blakley, Jerry, and Brenda Helms spent the day together shopping and had lunch in Harker Heights Friday.

Brenda Helms cooked supper for Carolyn Blakley’s birthday Sunday evening.

Emma Blakley had her college senior pictures done on campus Tuesday.

Several children from the Gatesville ISD Primary, Elementary, and Intermediate school attended their Spring Fling Daddy and Daughter Dance Saturday evening at the Gatesville Civic Center.

Those who had birthdays in this month were Jackie Penny, Alison Moffatt, Sandra Varner, Barbara Wolff, Ryan Bay, Kennedie Hyde, Russell McHargue, Laura Lam, Bridgette Ferguson, Jo Keeton, Amber Carothers, Ruby Pullen, Carolyn Blakley, Abigail Cupps, Linda O’Brien, Jeanette Hollis, Aubree Long, Darr Kuykendall, Delecia Reynolds, Pedro Quintero and Holly Pullen.
