Folks Around Town

Nathan is the funeral director at Scott’s Funeral Home and has been serving in his position for the past two years. He currently has a provisional license but will graduate with a degree in Funeral Services in May this year. He expressed that he enjoys being able to help others as they navigate through a difficult time in their life, especially as they prepare and plan for a loved one’s final arrangements. He was born and raised within the community and is an alumnus of Gatesville High School.

 “My favorite thing about Gatesville is that we are still a relatively small town with great people,” Gohlke said. “I enjoy knowing who my neighbors are and not having to worry about big city problems.”

Nathan reads The Gatesville Messenger and says he has always been a fan of the local newspaper and enjoys reading the weekly articles that are published. “I like the fact that the Messenger showcases our town’s news, history, and local events,” Gohlke said. “It’s a great way to keep up with everything that Gatesville is about.”
