March’s “Yard of the Month”

The Keep Gatesville Beautiful Yard of the Month for March goes to Tolane and Cody Fisher and family at 1302 Mill Street.  Tolane says they are beginners at gardening, but you wouldn't know it from the looks of their yard. The Fishers, who both grew up in Gatesville, moved into this beautiful home last August and already have everything looking great.  The colorful plants and flowers in the front include a fern, foxtails, marigolds, and a red bougainvillea. There is also a Redbud tree in bloom.  Their front door features a "Hello" sign, which Tolane created with real citrus fruits that she dehydrated herself.  On the side of the house, they have a tiered-raised bed which they call their "Salsa Garden.” It has tomatoes, peppers, and cilantro, and she plans to plant onions and garlic soon. All in all, a delightful yard.  Thanks, Fishers, for helping to keep Gatesville Beautiful!
