Linda Bell, age 68, of Gatesville, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at Scott’s Funeral Home with Minister Justin Hall officiating. Interment followed at Onion Creek Memorial Park in Austin at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 12.
Linda Tucker Bell was born on Aug. 16, 1955, to Melvin Tucker Sr. and Eldena Perkins in Austin. She grew up and attended school in Austin, graduating from William B. Travis High School in 1973. She worked in the lending department at American Bank in Austin before accepting a position as a clerk for the Texas State Comptroller’s Office, where she eventually retired in 1992.
Linda loved her friends and enjoyed entertaining every chance she had. She had a giving heart and never met a stranger. She was loved by many and was always quick to give a compliment. She may have been tiny but was extremely mighty. She was a member of the Gatesville Church of Christ.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Tucker; and brother, Billy Tucker and wife, Joy.
She is survived by her mother, Eldena Tucker; sister, Darlene Tucker; and brother, Melvin Tucker, Jr.
