George Christopher Hallman, age 19, passed away on October 22, 2022, in a tragic car accident in Gatesville. He was born on November 18, 2002, in Panama City, Florida to Jerry M. "Mike" Hallman, Jr. and Brittany D. (Guthrie) Hallman.
George moved to Gatesville with his family at the age of 8 and graduated from Gatesville High School in 2021. George was very enthusiastic about wresting for Gatesville and helped to establish Gatesville's wrestling program as captain of the team all four years of high school. George competed for two years at the regional level in UIL wrestling. George was a bright shining light on this earth who brought joy to many. He was loved by everyone who really knew him. He will be missed greatly by all of his family and friends. He was a loving son and brother.
He is survived by his father and mother, Mike and Brittany, and his sister and brother, Morgan Hallman Tindell and husband, Jeremy Tindell, and their daughter Paisley Dian Tindell, Michael Hallman and fiancé, Maddison McGowan, grandmother, Dian Guthrie and Christie Hallman, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Hallman Sr.
George never met a stranger.
Services will be held at Coryell Community Church in Gatesville on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m.
