Sam Houston is a syndicated columnist and newspaper executive. He is also an actor, author, playwright and entertainment producer/promoter.
Exciting News from the Gatesville Messenger!
After careful study and review, the Gatesville Messenger will be making a significant change in our coverage and the frequency of our publication. Beginning the week of Feb 25, we will no longer be a twice-a-week newspaper. We will instead go to a once-a-week publication with a single Saturday paper being mailed to subscribers on Friday, and available over the counter on Friday afternoon or on the website as the E-Edition.
Our staff and ownership are excited to make this announcement as this change will allow us to provide a bigger, more informative, and more localized newspaper. Our mantra is “The Gatesville Messenger- Your Community Newspaper”!
It is our intent to include more feature stories about your friends and neighbors with more coverage and photos of local events. The Messenger will continue to keep you informed on our city and county government, and connect you to the many wonderful things happening in our schools. If it is happening in Gatesville, we want to share it with our readers.
We want to be your source for information on all things Gatesville!
We are very confident when you see the March 4th edition, you will fall in love with the look, the feel, and information you receive. We will also be posting stories daily on our updated web site and providing you with accurate information you will not get anywhere else.
The Gatesville Messenger is evolving to meet the needs of the community we serve and are a part of. Our staff live in Gatesville, have children who attend school, and go to Church the same places you do. We care about our community and the friends and neighbors who live here. We recognize the important role a vibrant newspaper can play in a community. This is why we want to be your source for news for all things “Gatesville”. We are committed to doing so.
