Clay – Holder vows exchanged

The Lazy S Hacienda in Weatherford was the setting for the Aug. 26 wedding of Bailey Faith Clay and Dakota Ray Holder, both of Lubbock.

Braxton Mitchell officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Drs. Britt and Jill Clay, of Gatesville, and the granddaughter of Ed and Crystal Leach, of Gatesville, Charlene Graham of Rusk, the late Jimmy Graham, the late Jacque Clay, and the late Charlotte Leach.

The bridegroom is the son of Alicia Holder, of Lott, and Joel and Amber Nash, of Dodd City. He is the grandson of Susan Todd, of Waco, and James Holder, of Celeste.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Emmy Clay, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor, and bridesmaids were Haley Simpson, of Lubbock, Sarah Clawson, of Austin, Skye Wright, of Stephenville, and Caitlin Bigham, of Waco.

Holden Sykora, of Plainview, served as the Best Man, and groomsmen included Mando Sanchez, of Nogal, New Mexico, Nolan Grimm, Jake Sparks, and Chris Kunkel, all three of West.

Flower girls included Sophia Zeneli, Eva Zeneli, Emilia Leach, and Charlotte Leach, while Morgan Campbell, of Levelland, served as the ring bearer. The bride’s brother, Duncan Clay, of Gatesville, served as an usher at the ceremony.

The bride is a 2015 graduate of Gatesville High School and a 2020 graduate of Texas Tech University. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

The bridegroom is a 2013 graduate of West High School and has attended Trinity Valley Community College. He is currently employed in sales at Smith South Plains in Levelland.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Lubbock.
