The Mound community lost one of its residents. Mrs. Mary Ann Gann died Tuesday, July 14, after a long and courageous journey. Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 18, at Greenbriar Cemetery in Gatesville with Rev. Bruce Cox officiating.

Married pair selected as July Hornet Legends

A married pair of retired educators were formally recognized during the Monday, July 20, GISD school board meeting. The first educator to be recognized was Betty Hines. Betty began working for GISD in 1973 when she started teaching second grade.
