Cougars claw Hornets to stay unbeaten

In a battle against the No. 5-ranked China Spring Cougars, the Gatesville Hornets struck first and scored last — it was just all the scores in between that lifted the Cougars to a 41-10 football win Friday night.

Hornets roll past Krum, look to Burkburnett matchup

Slone Early had one of his toughest matches of the fall team tennis season Tuesday in Gatesville High School’s bi-district playoff trip to Whitney High School. Early squared off with Krum junior Caleb Carlson in a display on hard-hitting tennis. Early won 7-5, 7-5 as both players matched accurate shots.
