Three Mound residents head to State game

Mrs. McKenzie Lois Hopson David was honored with a baby shower on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the home of her parents, Frank and Susie Hopson. The hostesses were Gloria Davidson, Misti Necessary, Tracy Sage, Nelda Carothers, Debbie Evans, Aspen Watts, Margaret Hopson, and Summer McClellan.

Emma Blakley was honored on her 21^st birthday with lunch on Saturday afternoon in College Station. Those attending were Carolyn Blakley and Jerry and Brenda Helms.

Carolyn Blakley and Brenda Helms went to Waxahachie to see Neil and Christy Helms and did some shopping.

Three of our Mound residents, Jakson Tippit, Dylan Hooker, and Ashton Hooker stamped their way to the AT&T Stadium to the Texas 1A D2 State Championship game set for Dec. 13. Dylan and Ashton are seniors at Oglesby ISD, and Jakson in a junior.

David, Frank, and Pat Hopson attended a surprise 70^th birthday party for Mrs. Lesia Wilson at the Fort Gates annex in Gatesville. It was hosted by Lesia Wilson’s children, Amy Veazey, Landi Hill, and Dana Whittenburg.
