Sherry Hopson was crowned Queen of Merak Temple No. 104

Mrs. Sherry Hopson was crowned Queen of Merak Temple No. 104, in Waco on Sunday afternoon. Daughters of the Nile is a philanthropic organization that helps support Shriner’s Childrens Hospitals around the world. The Mound community wants to congratulate my aunt, Sherry Hopson.

Mound Cowboy Church is having their annual Easter breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the inside church. The service starts at 9 a.m., and the Easter egg hunt will start after church service. The address of the church is 3075 E. FM 931.

Thomas Allen Belt is a member of the Coryell County 4-H Livestock Judging Team and recently placed 3rd at the Brazos County contest.  Thomas was recognized as the 8th highest individual at the Houston contest.  He also placed 15th individually at the Houston contest.  We are proud of his hard work and dedication to livestock judging and to the team!

Brenda Helms and Carolyn Blakley went to College Station to see Emma and took her to lunch and did some shopping Saturday.

Robert Blakley visited in Pearl Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Bettie Blakley.

Jenson Kinnear went to the Temple Mall on March 21st with his family to celebrate his seventh birthday.  On Sunday, March 24th he had a ninja turtle/Jurassic Park theme birthday party at his home with his friends and family.

Jenson was also promoted to orange belt in Dynamic Dance Company’s MMA program.

Holly Jones, Kay Branham, Kelby Shults, and Kristen Jones surprised Sue Jones with a birthday party on Friday night at Rancher’s. About 50 were in attendance.

David and Pam Hopson escorted Jakson Tippit, Dylan, and Ashton Hooker to their 2024 annual Oglesby Junior/Senior Prom Saturday evening.

Mrs. Eric (Liz) McCorkle spent a few days in Frisco at the home of Patrick and Kelli Casey and family during their Spring Break.  While there they all attended The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.
