We want to honor some of the students involved in our band program's amazing success this fall, which included our color guard and dazzlers.
These students spent countless hours in the blazing heat in the summer preparing for the fall marching contest. Then, they endured cold, wet weather performing at some of our later football games. Through it all, they put in tremendous hours to be successful.
The band competed in the state marching contest on November 9th at the Alamodome. Our staff and students represented Gatesville well and earned an 18th place finish, which was the highest in program history. Their teachers selected a few students to represent the group. From left, we have: Leadership Member- Lena Clawson, Color guard- Emery Wood, Dazzler Officers Jaynee Green, Drum Major- Noah Smith, and not pictured Alianna Longoria -Dazzler Officer.
