“Ruby Carolina Pullen qualified for the Junior World Finals last week in Vegas”

Miss Ruby Carolina Pullen, of Rock Wall, the great niece of Barbara Hopson, competed in barrel racing in Las Vegas, NV last week.  Ruby qualified for the KKRFV/ Junior World Finals. She rode “Bizzy” Bar B Arabella Bug, owned by Kelli Ann McPherson. Together they finished 6th place overall.

Miss Anna McPherson and her team from Waco Juniors, 15 Black, played in the Tour of Texas Warmup in Austin this weekend.  The team went 7-0 for the weekend and won the championship.

Paul and Rachel Hopson spent five days this week exploring New York City.  They enjoyed looking at all of the Christmas lights and decorations as well as seeing famous sights such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, the 911 Memorial, the World Trade Center, the Brooklyn Bridge, Saks 5th Avenue, and Macys.

Steve and Kay Branham were Sunday dinner guests of Don and Sue Jones.

Bruce Cox visited Sunday afternoon with Don and Sue Jones.

Shelly Wilkerson, of Van, and Jimmy Williamson, of Waco, visited Monday with Don and Sue Jones.

Debbie Piller, Jennifer Miller, Neal, Amanda, Brodie, Slayton, and Caymbri Fisher attended the state championship football game in Arlington at the AT&T Stadium to see the Oglesby Tigers play.  Blayze Fisher was there as a manager for the team.

Elli Kinnear performed in the Dynamic Dance company’s 6th annual winter recital on Dec. 16. She performed stunts with her Acro team.

Several people from Mound attended Christmas Holidays lights at BLORA Nature in Lights it’s a Magical Holidays.

Those who had birthdays this month were Joshua Tatum, Vivian Moore, Brad Barnard, Truett Rose Pullen, Jacklyn Pearl Pullen, Bailey Gohlke, Robert Poynter, Gail Weaver, Blayn Smith, Kelli McPherson, Jill Winkler, Aspen Watts, Culli Brookshire, Katie Hopson, Sarah Turner, Helen Piller, Hollie Jones, Connie Montgomery, Debbie Tatum, Jacquline Jones, Tammy Pruitt Russell, Joshua Cole, Richard Bryant, Chris Gribble, Ashley Pruett, and K.T. Botkins. Chase and Kelsey McGhee’s little girl turned two years old on Dec. 17.
