The next bookstore day will be Jan. 6, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. (the new winter hours). All purchases are mostly by donation—take what you want, pay what you want, and all proceeds go to local charities. The community of Pearl is so very blessed to have these dedicated wonder workers. They put their hearts and souls into this charity house/bookstore. So, the next time there is a first Saturday Bluegrass event (second Saturday in September) at the Pearl Community Center be sure and drop by the Pearl Cottage Bookstore during that day of music, music, and more music. You’ll be so glad you did!
Speaking of The Pearl Community Center, the next quarterly board meeting will be Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
There are several people in the Pearl area in need of prayer due to illness right now. Please pray for the health of our Pearl people. The Lord knows who they are, and there’s power in prayer!
This week’s Bible verse comes from Isaiah 9:6—For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. NIV
