We wish to congratulate Denise Medart Dyer and Judd Wall on their marriage, which took place at the Pearl Community Fellowship Church on New Year’s Day. We wish the happy couple the very best and are so glad that they chose Pearl for the site of the beginning of their lives together!
We are so sorry to report that Betty Gomez, age 91, passed away at her home in the Beehouse/Pearl Community on Jan. 2. Memorial services will be held Jan. 15, at the Pearl Community Fellowship Church at 2:30 p.m. Lunch for family and friends will be held at the Pearl Community Center at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Well-known Pearl resident Pam Bowers is Mrs. Gomez’s daughter. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family.
The next Pearl Bluegrass/Pearl Cottage Bookstore event will be Feb. 4. More details to come.
This week’s Bible verse comes from Colossians 3:12-13: “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.” (NIV)
