It’s hard to believe that I am typing “September,” as it seems 2023 is rushing away too quickly. September and October are busy months for Pearl peeps, so let’s get started on those upcoming dates:
*The bid items and sheets are out at the Pearl Church of Christ for the annual Atchley Fish Fry and Silent Auction happening on September 3rd -- that’s tomorrow! You still have plenty of time to make those generous bids to support the awesome group, His Kids, to further the Kingdom. You just can’t go wrong in donating to a cause that guides young people in their journeys in Christ. So, get on out to Pearl Church of Christ (everyone is welcome for sure). You are always invited to attend this church, and they’ll be so glad you came (By the way, there’s a beautiful Grandfather clock and an awesome Singer sewing machine in the bid items. Go by and check them out).
*The next Pearl Cottage Bookstore and Bluegrass event is September 9th. The September event is always on the second Saturday due to a long-standing family reunion booked at the Community Center. The rest of the year, the Saturday events continue the first Saturday of each month.
*The Pearl Church of Christ will have their 128th Homecoming and Reunion on October 15th. Remember, church begins at 10:30 a.m., and dinner on the grounds will follow. Everyone is invited to all these Pearl events!
This week’s Bible verse comes from Ephesians 4:29 — “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” NIV
