Oglesby Jr. High team clinch District championship

The Oglesby Junior High Tiger football team clinched the district championship Nov. 3 with a 45-13 victory over the Buckholt Badgers. The Tigers ran their record to 8-1 for the 2023 season.

Offensively for the Tigers, several players scored touchdowns and points after touchdown (PATs). 

Holdyn Goff had three carries for 58 yards and two touchdown runs of 15 and 25 yards. He was three for three passing for 59 yards, and two touchdown passes, and had one interception for a 25-yard return, for a total 142 total yards. 

Mason Marquez had four carries for 76 yards with one 25-yard touchdown run. 

Caiden Brinkley had two carries for 48 yards, including one 45-yard touchdown run. He also had one interception for 10 yards, for total of 58 yards. 

Blayze Fisher was two for two passing and had one touchdown pass. 

Liam Ammerman had three carries, a 25-yard touchdown run, and one PAT run. 

Evan Williamson had one pass reception for a 20-yard touchdown and one PAT reception. 

Ranger Dalton had one 25-yard touchdown reception. 

Aiden Aviles had one PAT reception. 

Jayce Aarron had three receptions for 46 yards. 

Defensively:

Mason Marquez had seven tackles and one fumble recovery. 

Holdyn Goff made seven tackles and had an interception. 

Ranger Dalton had five tackles. 

Caiden Brinkley had four tackles, one fumble recovery, and one interception. 

Evan Williamson had three tackles.

Couper Wulfkuhle had three tackles. 

Aiden Aviles had three tackles and one knocked down pass. 

Rancher Jeffcoat had two tackles.

Hunter Insall had two tackles. 

Liam Ammerman had one tackle.

Blayze Fisher had one tackle.
