Mound residents attend Christmas celebrations

Posted

They toured the Texas State Jail to see the Grinch locked up just in time to not ruin Christmas! They all attended the play “Miracle on 34th Street,” had pancakes with Mrs. Claus, and attended brunch at the Queen’s Hotel.  Their trip wrapped up with a train ride to the North Pole aboard The Polar Express.

Connor Carothers graduated from Baylor on Saturday, Dec. 16, with a B.A. in communication.

On Dec. 23, the Carothers family had their traditional Christmas White Elephant Exchange and meal… all family members were present along with Cooper Shackelford and Chyna Hoffman.  A great time was had by all.  Later in the evening, two nieces and their families dropped by to visit: Summer and Ab; Abraham and son, Damon, who reside at Ft. Gates; Holly, Fossie, Lil Fossie (16), and Kolton Moore, of Liberty Hill.  They had attended the Fry Family Christmas earlier.  It was very nice to visit with them.

Neil, Christy, and Taylor Helms, of Red Oak, visited and spent Friday and Saturday for Christmas.

On Sunday, Reed, Katelyn, and Riley Griffith, of Montgomery, spent the day.

On Monday, Mrs. Bettie Blakely, of Pearl, had Christmas dinner with Robert, Carolyn, and Emma Blakley, as well as Jerry and Brenda Helms.

Scott, Kelby, and Sterlin Shults, and Case and Kristen Jones had dinner at the home of Don and Sue Jones Saturday evening.

Sue Jones visited with Barbara Sue Hopson on Friday afternoon.

Barbara’s Notes:  Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
