Mrs. Bettie Blakley of Pearl, Jerry and Brenda Helms, and Robert and Carolyn Blakley attended the ceremony for their granddaughter and daughter, Miss Emma Blakley, when she received her ring on Friday evening at College Station for the Aggie Ring Day.
Mrs. Elizabeth McCorkle was honored on her birthday on Sunday. Those attending were Alan McCorkle, of Buda, Eric, Liz and Brian McCorkle.
Several people from Mound attended the annual Gatesville High School Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet Saturday evening at the Gatesville Civic Center. This year’s Hall of Fame honors go to Johnny Jones and Vickie (Latham) Knight. Mr. Jones is the uncle of Jennifer Jund Boyd. Mrs. Knight is the aunt of DeElva Grubb. They were both under Coach Gerald Poe.
