Mound families celebrate winnings from the Coryell County Youth Fair

Kinsley McPherson won Reserve Champion Senior Commercial Steer. Anna McPherson won Grand Champion Senior Commercial Steer, and Allie McPherson won Grand Champion Junior Commercial Steer in Gatesville at the 65th Annual Coryell County Youth Fair.

Aubree Ann Long, Olivia Lois Long, and Noah Truett Hopson won first place on their entries in the Pee Wee division in Gatesville at the Coryell County Youth Fair.

Aubree Ann Long will be competing in the Coryell County Youth Fair in 2025.

Elli Kinnear participated in Gatesville at the Coryell County Youth Fair.  Elli won first place with her decorated Bunny theme cake, fourth place with her handmade jewelry, third place with her cranberry pie, fourth place with her toffee cookies. Second place, three first places, grand and reserve breed champion with her breeding rabbits. Elli made the sale, and her lot was purchased by Clawson Ranch.

Michael and Faye Horton hosted Mike’s cousin and husband, Rosa Lee and Bob, of Phoenix, AZ.  The weekend celebration was for Mike’s mother who turns 100 this week! They had a fun visit with family and friends at an afternoon party in Killeen last Saturday.

Liz McCorkle and Sue Jones had lunch in Temple Monday.

Cindy McCarthy, of Boston, MA, and Elizabeth Phillips visited Thursday with Martha Lawhorn.

John Stephens and Karen Lee had lunch in Hamilton Thursday.
