Gatesville FFA competes in LDE event

This past week, Gatesville Future Farmers of America traveled to the Bosque River District Leadership Development Events.

Gatesville FFA had six teams compete at the event, and out of 17 schools Gatesville placed the following:

-          Third place in Agriculture Advocacy - Breeze Buckner, Cayleigh Coursey, Kinlee Gardner, and Finn Rogers.

-          Fifth place in Greenhand Quiz - Ellen Abrahamson, Kaylee Prince, and Emily Sader.

-          Fifth place in Senior Creed - Jeret Burks.

-          Fifth place in Radio Broadcasting - Taylor Coward, Zoee Gribble, and Matti Mann.

-          Eighth place in Greenhand Creed - Kaylee Prince

-          Twelfth place in Senior Quiz - Bryson Brown, Daniel De La Torre, Lacee Jordan, and Kylie Loy. 

The LDE manager is Brianna Petrie.

Leadership Development Events focuses on creating situations for members to demonstrate abilities in public speaking, decision-making, communication, and knowledge of agriculture in agricultural science classrooms.
