The Jones family had their annual family reunion Sunday, January 14, with a potluck lunch at Mound Cowboy Church. It was hosted by Don and Sue Jones. There were 35 people in attendance.
Matti and Lillie Mann both showed at the 65th Annual Coryell County Youth Fair this past weekend. Both came home with some first-place ribbons. They both sold at the auction.
Lillie’s pig was bought by Gatesville Youth Livestock Supporters and Matti’s was bought by David and Pam Hopson and Frank and Susie Hopson. With this being her senior year, she has quite a few add-ons from several generous donors.
Emma Blakley left Sunday to go back to College Station to start her final semester.
Valerie Ferrell and Carolyn Blakley had lunch in Gatesville on Tuesday.
Jerry and Brenda Helms went to Dallas Saturday to visit with Neil and Christy Helms.
Mound lost one of its residents, Jared Alan Bruton, who died Friday, Dec. 29. A memorial service will be scheduled by his family at a later date.
Several people of Mound attended the Celebration of Life for Jason Paul Graham Saturday, Jan. 6, in Gatesville at Trinity Baptist Church. Jason was the son of Mr. Charles Graham and the late Linda Graham.
