Carothers family help celebrate 59th anniversary

Three Mound residents (Jakson Tippit, Dylan and Ashton Hooker) stamped their way to AT&T Stadium to the Texas 1A D2 State Championship game on Wednesday. Dylan and Ashton are seniors at Oglesby ISD, and Jakson is a junior.

About 85 people attended the Coryell County 4-H Christmas party Friday evening at the Gatesville Civic Center.  Attendees enjoyed making ornaments, decorating gingerbread men, making cards, playing games, and dancing.  The event was led by the County 4-H Ambassador Team.

Harry and Lois Fulton are competing in the Ultimate Calf Roping in Las Vegas, December 11-12. Harry is in the #15 tiedown, and Lois in the Breakaway roping.

Keron Jackson, of Dallas, spent Saturday night at the home of Don and Sue Jones.

Keron sang at Mound Cowboy Church and White Mound Baptist Church Sunday morning.

Mound Cowboy Church had their annual Christmas party Sunday evening.  There were 70 people in attendance.

Several people from Mound attended the Annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. This year’s theme was Toys, Toys, Toys!

A Special Market Day and Toy Drive was held at the Gatesville Civic Center Saturday.

Several people from Mound attended the First Methodist Church in Gatesville Sunday evening for a free concert.
