The ladies of the John H. Reagan, Chapter 325 UDC, Gatesville, are offering their 11th annual Susan Patricia Pitts Memorial Scholarship to high school seniors, as well as home-schooled and college-level students who reside in Coryell and Hamilton Counties.
To determine who will receive the scholarship, an essay will be required to apply.
The essay will have a topic provided and must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 15. Essays that are received after that Monday will not be accepted.
When completed, email the essay to Jane Pitts at johnhreagan325udc@yahoo.com.
The essays will be emailed to the membership and voted upon during their May meeting in which the final decision will be announced.
The essay winner will receive a note of winning at their designated school’s annual scholarship banquet.
