Anna McPherson competes in national volleyball tournament

Kelli, Kinsley, and Anna McPherson spent spring break 2024 in Orlando, Florida.  They traveled to play in the Sunshine Classic National Volleyball Tournament where Anna’s team, Waco Juniors Volleyball Club 15 Black, finished 4th overall.  While there, the trio also took time to visit cousins Lizzi and Graham Howell and spent a Day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park as well as watched a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral at Cocoa Beach.

Mr. Travis “Shorty” Moore died Saturday March 16, 2024.  His funeral service was held Thursday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville.  Burial was at the Smith King Cemetery.  Mr. Moore grew up on the Royalty Farm in Mound.  Mr. Moore is survived by his son, Mark Moore and wife, Melanie, of Shore Acres; daughter, Alisa Gregory and husband, Philip, of Gatesville, grandchildren Lillie Moore, Luke Gregory, Clayton Gregory, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mr. Moore will truly be missed in our community.

Will and Jennifer Mann and children spent spring break in Colorado where they went skiing.

Christopher and Jennifer Eberlein spent a long weekend in Broken Bow, OK. with Matt and Valerie Terrell, Caleb and Annalee Terrell.  They all enjoyed time at their cabin and fly fishing on the river.

 Jerry Helms was honored on his birthday, Friday, March 10th.

Jerry and Brenda Helms celebrated their wedding anniversary on March 26, 2024.

Delecia Reynolds was the last Tuesday lunch guest of Barbara Hopson.

Paul and Rachel Hopson were honored on their birthdays this past week at the home of David and Pam Hopson.

Congratulations to the Livestock Judging Team on a great day of learning and competing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! Shout out to Thomas Belt for placing 15th out of 382 juniors!
