Jimmy Dale Gartman, age 56 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at Turnersville Community Tabernacle with Rev. Matt Dossey and Clay McClellan officiating. Interment followed at Coffey Cemetery.

Jimmy Dale was born on July 12, 1965, in Gatesville. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1983. He was a true cowboy all his life and rode bulls in his younger years. He was a cow trucker and worked for Dwayne Turner Livestock. Anyone that knew Jimmy Dale knows that he loved everybody, and would often times kiss you and tell you that he loved you.

“Ain’t no feeling like cowmobiling.”

He was preceded in death by his father, M.D. Gartman.

Jimmy Dale is survived by his mother, Charlotte Gartman; son, Lariat Gartman; daughter, Lane Gartman and fiancé, Benito Martinez; sister, Marion Young and husband, Doug; special friend, Kristie Moreland Pearce; and seven grandchildren, Jade, Zoey, Bailey, Joshua, Isabella, Ansel, and Sophia; and nephews, Josh and Jacob Young.
