Christine Patterson, age 78, of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, in Gatesville.
Memorial services will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
Christine Ellen Patterson was born on December 6, 1944, to the late John and Minnie Bullard Snoddy in Levita. She grew up in Levita and attended school in both Levita and Jonesboro. After finishing school, Christine went to work for Walls Manufacturing and remained there until its closure. She was then hired as a Correctional Officer at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and retired after 10 years. She was also a regular volunteer at the Coryell Museum and Historical Center for several years after her retirement.
Christine was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, painting, watching RFDTV, and spending quality time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Patterson; son, David Paul Patterson; brothers, Rodger Snoddy, and John Snoddy Jr.; and a grandson, Bucky Nichols.
Christine is survived by her daughters, Lonna Gossett and husband, Gary Ruff; Donna Watts and husband, Wayne; sister, Mary Meeks; brothers, Sam Snoddy and Roy Snoddy; grandchildren, Cole Patterson and wife, Nikki; Harley Patterson and wife, April; Justin Cooper and wife, Krystina; Lance Nichols; Preston Watts; Evan Watts; Cassie Vasquez and husband, Jason; Gary Ruff Jr.; Ginny Rhynes; Courtney Godfrey; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, c/o Gatesville Senior Center, 208 N. Lutterloh, Gatesville, TX 76528.
