Bobby and Nelda Carothers have a new great-grandson, Briar Hayes Shackelford. The parents are Caleigh (Carothers) and Cooper Shackelford. The proud grandparents are Jason and Jamie Carothers. They all live in Belton.

New state licensing procedure in effect for food trucks

Starting Wednesday, July 1, all mobile food vendors (MFV) operating within the state must be licensed with the Texas Department of Health Services to operate a food vending vehicle (FVV). Due to this, all current licenses issued through the city of Gatesville will expire on July 1.
