Baseball: GHS had seven players named to the THSCA Academic All-State team: 1st team - Kason Herbelin, Ben Mabry, Mason Mooney and Ayden Necessary; 2nd team - Grant Erwin and Carter Williams; honorable mention - William Crozier.
Softball: GHS senior Lauren Stuard was an honorable mention selection on the THSCA Academic All-State team. The award is based on class rank, GPA and ACT-SAT scores. A signing ceremony for GHS senior Kaitlin Stuard will be held Monday (3 p.m. at GHS Sidney L. Pruitt Gym). Stuard will be signing to play at Chesapeake Community College in Maryland.
Girls Track: GHS placed three athletes on the THSCA Academic All-State team: 1st team - Lindsey Cummings and Khloe Mathews; honorable mention - Lauren Stuard.
Boys Track: GHS placed three athletes on the THSCA Academic All-State team: Honorable mention - Cameron Harley, Carlo Martinez and Trent Ray.
Soccer: GJHS scores vs. Waco La Vega – Girls: La Vega 4, GJHS 0; Boys: La Vega 9, GJHS 0.
