Miss Ruby Carolina Pullen, of Rock Wall, great niece of Barbara Hopson, competed at Cowtown Coliseum Friday evening. Ruby, and her horse, Stella, won first place in barrel racing.

 

White Mound Baptist Church had a baby dedication Sunday, Oct. 15, with Stephen Lee “S.J.” Dyer, Jr., and his parents, Stephen and Lauren Dyer, and Briggs Cole Cammack, son of Katie Sheets.

Mound Cowboy Church had their baby dedication Sunday, Oct. 15. Emeri Lynn Davis Deats, parents are Brad and Megan Deats. Montana Skye Johnson, parents are Barton and Chelsea Johnson. Sterlin Grey Shults, parents are Scott and Kelby Shults. Molli Joann Kinnear, parents are Devan and Staci Kinnear. Jonesy Hyann Newman, parents are Chad and Mackenzie Newman.

Little Mr. Sterlin Schults’ family had Sunday lunch in Gatesville at a local restaurant after the baby dedication.

Kinsley McPherson helped with the 4H ambassador team, serving the meal at the Coryell County Farm Bureau Convention last Monday evening in Gatesville.

Jenson Kinnear was promoted to a yellow Belt at Dynamic Dance Co. MMA program Oct. 12. In attendance to watch his promotion were Staci, Elli, Molli, Tony and Theresa Kinnear, Kathy Brase, Shea and Kenzie Winkler, Randy and Julie Eubanks.

Elli Kinnear had a slumber party for her ninth birthday celebration on Oct. 13. Elli had 10 friends in attendance.

Molli Kinnear celebrated her fourth birthday with a science party on Oct. 14. Molli was also dedicated to the Lord at Mound Cowboy Church on Sunday Oct. 15.

A baby shower was thrown at Mound Cowboy Church Sunday Oct. 15, in honor of Brittani and Shawn Shepherd, who are expecting a new baby in Jan. 2024.  The theme was “Safari.” The hostesses were Kathy Brase, Aspen Watts, Susan Curtis, Theresa Kinnear, and Staci Kinnear.

Emma Blakley, of College Station, came home Friday and spent the weekend with her parents, Robert and Carolyn Blakley.

Jerry and Brenda Helms, and Neil and Christy Helms, spent the day Saturday in Fredericksburg.

Several people from Mound attended the 2023 Annual Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo at the Extraco Events Center Coliseum in Waco.
