The town of Evant will hold a community wide garage sale on Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21. The sale will be held at the Shive Volunteer Fire Department from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
Through the kindness of the community, you will find various donated treasures that are priced to sell.
All the proceeds will be donated to the Evant Independent School District Angel Tree fund. The Angel Tree fund is used annually to purchase gifts for families in the community that need a little extra help during the holiday season.
This past year, Evant raised around $1,100 to go towards the Angel Tree fund.
There are many ways to get involved including:
- Making a monetary donation.
- Donate gently used items to the garage sale.
- In Nov., sponsor a family to aide with Christmas gifts.
- Nominate a family in need.

The Shive Volunteer Fire Department is located on the corner of FM 221 and CR 518.
