The Gatesville High School boys golf team recently made its 15th appearance at regionals since 2005 and competed in a two-day, 14-team 4A Region III tournament.
The Hornets shot rounds of 344-347 to finish off the two-day tournament with a score of 691. The boys placed ninth overall.
The individual results included Max Healer, 166 (83-83), Kasen Bankhead, 172 (84-88), Gage Ford, 175 (86-89), Caden Brister, 178 (91-87), and Garrett Sullivant, 191 (97-94).
Sullivant has also been recently named to the THSCA academic all-state as a second team athlete. This award recognizes student-athletes for their grade point average (GPA), class rank and ACT/SAT scores.
