Women’s Forum met on March 11

The program of the Women’s Forum was presented on Monday, March 11, at the Gatesville Public Library was by Velva Riddle.

“The Trellis and the Seed” by Jan Karon is a children’s book about the growth of a seed. A large trellis is prepared for the growth of the very small seed. The sprout became a vine which began to climb the trellis. The lady who planted the seed fertilized and watered it until it grew and grew. God’s timing brings forth fragrant blossoms. At the end, the moonflower produces a flower that gives stillness and peace.

Parallels to life were shown throughout the story.

Club Day this year will again be held at Alfredo’s in Lampasas on Monday, April 15. Many members will bring their spouses and guests to enjoy food and fellowship.
