August 14, 1961 – December 10, 2022

Mary Daniels passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Palestine.

Mary Ella Daniels was born on August 14, 1961, to the late Alfred Wayne and Daisy Mae Jones Hamilton.  She grew up and went to school in Oglesby, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1979.  She later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, that she was very proud of from Kaplan University at the age of 57.  She married Roy (Red) Cleaveland Daniels, II on January 13, 1997. Mary was a waitress for 40-plus years at local restaurants, she loved her job and the relationships that she built over the years with customers. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and considered her mom her best friend.  She also loved gardening, fishing, and canning.  She was a member of Pearl Country Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Louis Hamilton, Emma Harvel, Odel and Violet Jones; and a brother, Michael Clarke.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Susan Blaser, Kristy Stockman, Alison Bryant; sons, Justin Estredge and wife, Stephanie, Eric Klecka  and wife, Barbie; sisters, Deborah Hamilton and spouse, Larry Locke, Brenda Watson and husband, Joe, Kimberly West and husband, Curtis; brothers, David Hamilton and wife, Karen, Jimmy Hamilton and wife, Liz; grandchildren, Austin, Aryannah, Isabelle, Alex, Gracie, Jacob, Aaron, Travis, Zachary, Ethan, Nathan, Hank, Gavin, Gracie; and many nieces and nephews.

Roy (Red) Daniels

September 12, 1960 – December 27, 2022

Roy (Red) Daniels, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Gatesville.

Roy Cleaveland Daniels, II was born on September 12, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Roy Cleaveland Daniels, I and Sally Tingen Daniels.  He entered the United States Army at a young age and served in Iraq. He was a Purple Heart recipient and retired after thirty years of service to his country.  He married Mary Ella Hamilton on January 13, 1997, and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2022.  Roy was an avid pool player and loved fishing with the boys and grandkids.  He was a member of Pearl Country Church.

Roy is survived by his daughters, Susan Blaser, Kristy Stockman, Alison Bryant; sons, Justin Estredge and wife, Stephanie, Eric Klecka and wife, Barbie; sister, Debbie Garcia; grandchildren, Austin, Aryannah, Isabelle, Alex, Gracie, Jacob, Aaron, Travis, Zachary, Ethan, Nathan, Hank, Gavin, Gracie; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Mary and Roy (Red) Daniels will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Pearl Country Church in the Pearl community, address: 6795 FM 183, Gatesville.  Rev. David Booth will be officiating.  Military honors will be rendered at the church for the service of Mr. Daniels to our country.
