Local couple James and Sherry Feathers are ready to take the dance floor in the Dancing with the Stars of Central Texas competition on Saturday, Nov. 18.
Team Feathers includes James and Sherry Feathers. The Feathers moved to Gatesville in July 2022 because they needed a change in lifestyle.
James is the General Sales Manager at Jim Turner Chevrolet in McGregor and Sherry is the secretary at Gatesville Elementary School and works for the transportation department. The Feathers have three children along with two grandsons.
In their free time, fishing and hunting are their most enjoyed activities, along with casual dancing. “If it’s a good song we will be dancing, outside or inside,” Sherry said.

Dancing with the Stars of Central Texas is a semi-formal gathering for adults aged 18 and over. The event will be held at the Gatesville Civic Center and will commence at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will come together to enjoy an evening of delightful food, vibrant dancing, and meaningful fellowship.
The event serves as a fundraiser for Mission Righteous Roots Crisis Resource Center, with all tax-deductible donations dedicated to supporting the impactful initiatives of the organization.
