Gatesville police are investigating an early morning robbery that took place at the CEFCO Convenience Store at 101 N State Highway 36 on Monday, according to a Facebook post by the Gatesville Police Department.
Police responded to the incident around 2:08 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a man had entered the store with his face covered and armed with a handgun. Police say the man demanded and received “an undisclosed amount of cash” before fleeing on foot to the north.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No one was injured during the incident, police say.
According to police, the suspect was described as a Hispanic male who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white Reebok logo, a white bandana covering a portion of his face, a black-rimmed ball cap, and jeans.
