Nancy Warren, age 62, of Gatesville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 22, 2022, surrounded by her family in Houston.
Memorial services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Coryell Community Church, with Rev. Bruce Cox officiating.
Nancy Diane Warren was born on May 16, 1960, in Gatesville to Jackie Bankhead Whittenburg and the late Marvin Dean Whittenburg. She grew up in Gatesville, where she met and married her husband of 47 years, Donnie Warren. Together, she and Donnie created a beautiful life centered around their family. She was a loving wife, wonderful “Mama” and enjoyed every single moment of being a “Nana” to her family and friends. Nancy had a unique way of making everyone she met feel like part of her family, welcoming them with her big, beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She spent many hours shopping with her girls, attending any event her grandchildren were involved in and spoiling them every chance she had. She had the ability to make anything beautiful. She took great joy in decorating many weddings, homes and Christmas trees for her family and friends. She was a member of Coryell Community Church and attended Mound Cowboy Church.
She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Dean Whittenburg; grandson Max Warren Moffett; father and mother-in-love, Sam and Betty Warren.
Nancy is survived by her husband Donnie Warren; daughters Amy Best and husband Daniel, Dee Moffett and husband,Jason; son Jason Warren and wife Whitney; mother Jackie Whittenburg; her pride and joy of nine grandchildren Caylee Schiff and husband Hunter, Caydon Best, Emily Moffett, Sofee Moffett, Lucas Moffett, Jace Warren, Tyler Warren, Austin Warren and Cole Best.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Max Warren Moffett Scholarship Fund, c/o Gatesville ISD, 311 S. Lovers Lane, Gatesville, TX 76528.
