Mrs. John Stephens spent last week in Kentucky visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum with Ray Stephen’s sister, Melba Stephens from South Lake.

Jackie and Jannetta Spencer had their 50th wedding anniversary on August 23 at Texas Station, and Ed Leonard played all their favorite country songs. Even his two daughters sang - such a talented family.  They had lots of friends and family. There was plenty of food that the kids and grandkids prepared for them.

Bobby and Nelda Carothers attended the Dallas Cowboy vs New York Jets game on Sunday afternoon, September 17, the guest of Lori D’Arpa of Las Vegas … Cowboys won. They also attended a Texas Rangers baseball game Monday evening, September 18, guests of Jason and Jamie Carothers.

Several people of Mound attended the 22nd Annual 2023 Spurfest at the Coryell Museum and Historical Center, the 37th annual Cruzin Cruzers Car Show on the Courthouse square, and the Texas Old Time Fiddlers Association Annual Old Time Fiddlers Contest at the Gatesville City Auditorium Saturday afternoon.

Several people from Mound attended a funeral service for Mrs. Joyce Ann McDonald Thursday afternoon at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. A private interment was held at the McDonald’s family Cemetery.

The Hopson family and friends attended the 2023 Annual Hornets Big Sting in honor of Mrs. Kari Dunn Hopson Friday evening at the McKamie Stadium in Gatesville.
