Jeanette Lindsey, age 88, of Lampasas, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022.
Services were held at Northside Baptist Church in Lampasas on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. Interment followed at Smith Cemetery in Kempner.
Jeanette was born in Burnet County on Aug. 7, 1934, to Russell and Edna Queen Roberts. She was a devout Christian woman who loved her family fiercely, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked at Lampasas Flower Shop, Tartans, and Bowdens before staying at home to take care of her children. She was also known as a great cook and loved making meals for people and ironing many people's clothes in Lampasas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Lindsey; son, Jerry Lindsey; granddaughter, Shelly Lindsey; and son-in-law, Earnest Cole.
Survivors include her daughter, Joy Cole of Gatesville; son, Terry Lindsey, and wife, Debbie of Lampasas; grandchildren, Rusty Cole, Julie Pearce, Misty Ruff, Tracie Chapa and husband, Marcus, Kristy Marcellus and husband, Justin; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nell Ray, and numerous cousins and other loving family members.
