The Gatesville Hornet boys cross country team won its fourth straight meet, this time at the hometown Gatesville Invitational, on Sept. 17.
The Hornets were led by senior Carlo Martinez, (third from the right in this photo), who was first place overall with a time of 16:06 in the 5K run - one minute and 35 seconds faster than the second place runner. Teammate Jastin Muegge won the silver medal.
Gatesville’s Vania Martinez completed her run with a time of 12:09, winning the girls’ meet by 12 seconds over the second place contestant. The Gatesville girls finished third overall in the Gatesville Invitational on Sept. 17.
