GISD presents “Spring into Summer” event and a Bicycle Rodeo, May 4

The Gatesville ISD Community Outreach will be presenting Gathering Gatesville “Spring into Summer” on Thursday, May 4, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Gatesville Elementary School. There will be free bike helmets, door prizes, a silent auction and food trucks.

There will be local educational, sports, theater, and music camps information, local VBS and church events information, area wide family friendly activities, information about the summer feeding programs, and local services available for families. Over sixty vendors will be present to share information about different activities that can be enjoyed during the summer months and useful information for families.

There will also be a Bicycle Rodeo which will start at 4:30 p.m. Children wanting to participate in the Bicycle Rodeo, are asked to bring their bike and a parent with them. The rodeo is for children ages 5+ with a limit of 100 participants. The registration fee will be $2. Permission slips for the rodeo must be turned in by May 2. Children will be able to learn safety and riding skills, rules of the road, and receive a free helmet.

Vaccination Clinic to be held at Gatesville Primary, May 5

Those who are uninsured or underinsured are invited to attend a Vaccination Clinic which will be held on Friday, May 5, at the Gatesville Primary School. Vaccinations will be given for Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis, Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, Varicella, and Meningococcal.
