With the many new additions to the cheer program, one of those new additions will be a new custom one-of-a-kind Buzz costume to match the logo of the school.
Cheer directors Amber Colson and Cassie Perez both expressed how they are excited for the new Buzz costume as it will represent Gatesville Independent School District with pride and honor.
The costume will be purchased through tiered sponsorship, which will include different options for those wanting to donate to the program.
The cheer program’s fundraising goal is $15,000 to purchase the new mascot costume.
The tiered sponsorship options are:
Platinum Sponsor: This sponsor will be $2,500 and will include a platinum sponsor sign displayed at the football field, a Gatesville High School cheer sponsor plaque to display at your business, a Gatesville High School cheer swag bag, a business of the week shoutout on social media, your logo on Gatesville High School’s cheer website, and your business’s name will be announced as the platinum sponsor at home varsity football games.
Gold Sponsor: This sponsor will be $1,000 and will include a sponsor photo of Gatesville High School’s cheer team to display at your business, a Gatesville High School cheer swag bag, a business of the week shoutout on social media, your logo on Gatesville High School’s cheer website, your logo listed as the gold sponsor on the sponsorship sign, and your business’s name will be announced as the gold sponsor at home varsity football games.
Silver Sponsor: This sponsor will be $500 and will include a sponsor photo of the Gatesville High School cheer team to display at your business, a Gatesville High School cheer magnet, two shoutouts on social media, your logo on Gatesville High School’s cheer website, and your business’s name listed as the silver sponsor on the sponsorship sign.
Bronze Sponsor: This sponsor will be $250 and will include a sponsor photo of the Gatesville High School cheer team to display at your business, a Gatesville High School cheer magnet, a shoutout on social media, and your business’s name listed as the bronze sponsor on the sponsorship sign.
Any Sponsor: Any other sponsor will receive a thank you note from the Gatesville High School cheer program as well as a Gatesville High School cheer magnet.
The deadline to sponsor will be on Sunday, June 30. All sponsorship donations are tax-deductible and are payable to Gatesville ISD for “Buzz the Hornet Sponsorship.”
“I am planning to work with Buzz a lot during next season. She is an amazing mascot, (and) I am excited to collaborate with her to make her senior year special,” Perez said. “Having her out and about at many events will help bring more school spirit to the students and community.”
