Gatesville Senior Center hosts ‘Rainbow Tea’ luncheon for volunteers

Gatesville Senior Center recently honored all of its volunteers by having a “Rainbow Tea” luncheon. Rebel Brown, a regular and constant volunteer at the senior center was also recently surprised by The Exchange Club when he was named as the Senior Citizen of the Year.

The colors of the rainbow were represented at each table, which were sponsored by those wishing to thank the volunteers for all their hard work.

Those in attendance dressed in the color of their assigned table. “Happy Birthday” was sung to Toi Fairhurst. Toi and her husband Robert deliver meals every Monday and are always willing to help on short notice.
