Evant Homecoming 2023

The Evant Elks took on Rochelle for their Homecoming game last weekend, unfortunately losing, 53-6. Evant’s Coach Young said, “It didn’t turn out the way we’d hoped, but we continue to strive so that we can get over that hump. Our guys continue to show up and work hard knowing that there’s a bigger picture.” Leading the way on defense and offense was Senior Cason Ingram with four tackles and multiple onside kick recoveries, which put Evant’s offense in a good position to drive a shorter distance of the field. Ingram punched a 50-yard run for the only score of the game. Other notable players were senior Hunter White and freshman Wyatt Hitt, who also made several key stops on defense.
