Dr. Seuss celebrated at Gatesville Primary School

GISD’s Assistant Superintendent of Academics, Shane Webb, recently stopped by the Gatesville Primary School to help students celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2.

Webb read stories to various classes that were written by Dr. Seuss. The birthday celebration is held each year at the primary school with teachers and students sometimes dressing as their favorite character from the Dr. Seuss books. Theodor Seuss Geisel, a beloved children’s author, was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is best known for writing and illustrating more than 60 books under the pen name Dr. Seuss.
