Hornet family

Luke Howard and his wife ,Savanna, and son ,Cole, have joined the Gatesville athletic family. Howard was named the head football coach for the Hornets this week.

Members of the 2019 Hornets football team met for a team shot Thursday at McKamie Stadium. The Hornets new coach is Luke Howard, a 2007 graduate of Gatesville. The job is hias first as a head coach. Aug. 5 is the first day for workouts.

Battling in Clifton

The Hydro Dillo Graphics 12U team competed in Clifton in the Texas Teen-Age state tournament. They defeated China Spring, 13-0, in their opening game. Luke Howard, a 2007 graduate of Gatesville High School, has been named head football coach for the Gatesville Hornets.

The Gatesville Messenger won the 10U baseball district tournament and will represent Gatesville in the upcoming Texas Teen-Age Baseball-Softball Association state tournament in Groesback.
