Jeanie K. Henline, age 65, of Gatesville, passed away on
January 15, 2023. Katy was born on May 7, 1957, to Annie Jeanette Fears and Bobby Gene Fears.
Katy became a charge nurse in the early 80s at the Rotunda
Nursing Home where she did what she loved — taking care of
those in need. When she took care of those close to her, she
gave you three options: Nurse Nice, Nurse Nasty, and Nurse
Gestapo. You never knew what she was going to say or do,
she was like her favorite character, Spongebob Squarepants.
She would have you laughing one moment and crying the
next!
Katy found Christ at an early age; and after she had her three
beautiful girls, she found the love of her life, Robert Henline.
On July 23rd, 1993, Pastor Sonny Garman pronounced them
husband and wife.
Katy attended Grace Assembly Church, with Pastor Wray
Nunn and Thelma Nunn, for most of her life. They taught her
and Robert how to become ministers of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. This is where she began playing her yellow electric
guitar and assisting with fellowship. She ministered her love
of her Father, Jesus Christ, and sowed the seeds that led
people to Jesus Christ.
Katy, to all who knew her, was a kind, loving, and giving
person. She never met a stranger and she always brightened
a room. Many considered her to be a mother figure, as she
opened her arms to anyone she met. Like a mother figure she
didn't refrain from "setting you straight", as she did not stand
for any "nonsense."
She was a 5-foot, 100-pound spit fire!
She is loved by many! Her love for God and her family will
always be remembered by those who knew her.
Jeanie K. Henline is survived by her doting husband,
Robert Henline and her children; Annie Aviles and
her husband, Erasmo Aviles, Melinda Greene, and
Dana Millsap. Her grandchildren Whitney Escobar
and her husband, Gerardo Escobar, Travis Potter and
his wife, Zoe Potter, Matthew Aviles, Carson Aviles,
and Christian Aviles. Her siblings Gaylen Henson,
Tammy Strickland, Jason Lee, and Bobby Fears Jr.
and his wife, Sandy Fears. As well as her Aunt Neter
Lum and her many nieces and nephews and special
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved
sister Cindy Gordon.
