Gatesville Messenger set to hold Grand Reopening event

It’s been a little more than three months after a historic fire claimed the previous Gatesville Messenger’s 116 South 6th St. location on the square.

After being away from the Pearl Bluegrass Jam for a few years, Anji Pearl Day made a triumphant return to the stage last year — a place she holds near and dear to her heart.

On Monday, March 16, a devastating fire destroyed the entire city block on the west side of the courthouse square which included multiple historic buildings including Leaird’s, A Freedom Bail Bonds, The Gatesville Messenger, and Davidson Chiropractic.
