Local author speaks to Morris Federation

Posted

At the Morris Federation’s October meeting, the guest speaker was Ann M. Ciarico, local author of several children’s books, a novel, and an adult coloring book. The children’s books are titled “Darcy the Daydreamer,” “Darcy and the Bubble,” and “A Visit to Cloudy Town.”

Her novel is “The Theorem,” and her adult coloring book is titled “Adorable Babies.” The books can be purchased through Amazon.

Ann Ciarico was born in Germany into a military family. She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and later joined the Army as a power generator mechanic. She was stationed at Fort Hood. After her two years of military service, she decided to enroll at Central Texas College, where she graduated in 1995 with an associate’s degree in Commercial Art.

Ciarico also worked for the Killeen Daily Herald as a graphic designer. She has always been an artist and wrote from a very early age, but her work in Killeen is where she honed the skills, experiences and resources that she needed to self-publish.
